The Estonian EU Presidency 2017
At the beginning of July 2017, Estonia has taken over the Presidency of the Council, which rotates among the EU member states every 6 months, and thus started the first third of the joint 18-month programme of the EU Presidency Trio Estonia-Bulgaria-Austria.
The four main priorities of the Estonian Presidency are:
- An open and innovative European economy
- A safe and secure Europe
- A digital Europe and the free movement of data
- An inclusive and sustainable Europe
