The fourth issue of this year´s CBT is dedicated to youth unemployment, especially to barriers to youth employment, problems with setting up a business and mismatch between demand and supply on labour market. Within the framework of the European Youth Event 2014, which takes place from 9th to 11th May in Strasbourg, Czech students will present their analyses, studies and recommendations on how to overcome youth unemployment. CBT also brings comments related to this topic of unemployment by MEP Richard Falbr.

On the second page, you will find an article about 10th anniversary of the Czech Republic’s accession to the EU and conclusions of a conference organized on this occasion on 30th April in Prague. Furthermore, CBT focuses on Free Trade Agreement between EU and Japan that was discussed during the fifth round of negotiations at the beginning of April. In the regular EESC corner, Member of Employers’ Group Vladimíra Drbalová focuses on the role of European industry, more specifically on EESC opinion on European industrial renaissance.
