New issue of Czech Business Today quarterly, brings you a number of recent information from Czech business environment.

CEBRE strongly advocates the opening of labour markets in the EU15 to citizens from new Member States. Therefore, the first CBT page focuses on labour market mobility. In this regard, we have asked Commissionner Špidla to asses his contribution to the opening of Belgian labour market. Second topic of the new CBT issue is the impact assessment and better regulation in the EU.

On the first page we bring you an article about the limits the labour market restrictions create. In March CEBRE organised a debate with Commissionner Špidla and Belgian Minister of Employment Joelle Milquet to break remaining barrieres on the EU labour market.

Any proposal with significant impact on business is provided with impact assessment (IAs) prepared by the European Commission. On the second page you will find an article assessing how efficient are the IAs and what more can be done to improve them.

Third page is traditionnaly dedicated to the energy issue. In May Czech Nuclear Forum was held in Prague. Another important conference titled SMEs access to standardization was held in Prague. You will find conclusions from this conference on third page.

On the last page of CBT you will learn about the events such as CEBRE debate: How do we handle the economic crisis? and several events organized during the SME week – EUROCHAMBRES congress in Prague and BUSINESSEUROPE event in Brussels.
