GREEN LIGHT FOR OSTRAVA SUPERCOMPUTER
Representatives of Ostrava signed an agreement to host one of eight European supercomputers and create a supercomputer centre. This means that the building of the supercomputer can start. The computer will support Europe‘s researchers, industry and businesses in developing new applications in a wide range of areas.

PRAGUE WANTS TO BECOME AI SUPERPOWER
The Czech Republic and the City of Prague placed a bid to host the European centre of excellence focused on artificial intelligence. AI is one of the top priorities of the new European Commission and of the Czech government as well. The results should be known in the first half of 2020. Two out of 8 European bids were submitted by the Czech Republic. Czechs want to focus on AI security, automation and robotics.
