New issue of Czech Business Today quarterly brings you brand new information from the world of business.

The main topic of this issue is the Czech Presidency presented on the second page. The summary of goals achieved during the period of six months can be found there as well. Another main topic of this year’s fourth CBT is the combat against financial and economic crisis on the European as well as Czech level. The final page traditionally presents the list of some important Czech events that will take place in Brussels.

On page one, there is an interview with recently elected ITRE Committee Vice-Chairman Evžen Tošenovský, who sums up the main issues he will address to in his new position. CEBRE organised a debate on ways to address the financial and economic crisis. The results that came up from this event are summarised in another article on the first page.

The unlucky ending should not influence the overall output of the Czech Presidency. Therefore, on page two, you can find a list of goals that were achieved during the Presidency period, being it the combat against the crisis, external relations or the Lisbon Treaty.

The third page is partly focused on the energetic issues and partly on the combat against crisis. The representative of ČEZ Company draws up a list of topics from Brussels agenda associated with the energy sector that will be discussed this autumn. Another article presents the anti-crisis plan Czech companies drafted in order to efficiently handle the ongoing crisis.

On the last page of this year’s fourth CBT you can find invitations to events that are organised by or in association with CEBRE. Firstly, Business Breakfast on Late Payments will take place at the end of September, followed by the meeting of the Economic Chamber with MEP’s. Another event on the list is EHSV Seminar for Young Business People and in the middle of November Policy Café on Consumer Rights will take place. Last but not least, the Czech Oscar-awarded movie Kolja will be presented in Brussels on November 13th within the FOCUS 89 festival.
