This issue of Czech Business Today provides you with an opportunity to get acquainted with Czech business environment and major issues concerning small and medium-size enterprises in the Czech Republic as well as positions of Czech business associations on topics, which are high on EU agenda. 

This issue pays the attention to the immigration policy, especially to the Czech proposal of so-called green cards aiming to make easier employment of highly qualified third-countries nationals in the Czech Republic. We interviewed Mr. Přemysl SOBOTKA, president of the Czech Senate, about this matter as well as about the European Commission’s concept of Blue Cards. Also Mr. Martin JAHN, Vice-President of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic gave us the comments on this issue.
